PHOTO TO WATERCOLOR: DALI, YUNNAN

Discover the joy of rediscovering your own photographs with a fresh perspective through our collection of AI-generated watercolor paintings. There is something truly magical about viewing your own photographs in a different light, and I’ve found that watercolor paintings offer a particularly unique and enchanting take on personal photographs. By reducing the level of detail, watercolor paintings are able to highlight the true essence of an image, emphasizing the emotions and feelings that the photographer intended to capture. The subject for this time is a series of photo’s I took in 2018 in Dali, Yunnan, China.

IMAGE EXPLORATION: WOMAN FROM PUSHKAR, INDIA

I love starting out with a single photo or image and have it interpreted by the AI and then intermixing it with several different themes. In this case, the original image is a photo I took in 2014 from a woman in Pushkar’s main street which you can see at the top of the list below. The orange/white themed yous see below example are a mix between the original photo, but interpreted by the AI as if the woman in question would have been a Star Wars stormtrooper: explaining the mostly duotone colors and some of the symbols. Then recasting the same image as by simpling changing it from a woman to a girl is also very interesting to me.

IMAGE EXPLORATION: A FEMALE YUAN-TI SORCERESS

I love starting out with a single photo or image and have it interpreted by the AI and then intermixing it with several different themes. In this case the start is a portrait image for a fantasy character developed by changing styles or simply generating different variations of the same image.
